Founded in Águeda's Industrial Heart
In 2015, IMPORBAC was established in Águeda, at a time when Portuguese maritime trade was seeking new standards of quality. What began as a focused operation importing Norwegian stockfish has evolved into a comprehensive seafood trading house.
We expanded our network to include Icelandic suppliers and established our cold-chain infrastructure. Today, we maintain these relationships while adapting to contemporary food safety standards and logistics requirements.
Our approach has remained consistent: prioritize quality over volume, maintain direct relationships with fishing communities, and handle every shipment as though our reputation depends on it—because it does.
